ABOUT US

Remember Hurricane Mitch? In 1998, following this dreadful hurricane, much of the infrastructure of Honduras was destroyed, leaving thousands homeless, jobless & hungry.

Some of our board of directors, assisting other mission groups, were appalled by the destruction, devastation & poverty left in the wake of that hurricane. We felt God's calling to go a step further to help improve the lives of these dear people. Hence, in 2002, a mission house was built in the village of Bonitillo, enabling us to take down volunteer groups & work in the surrounding villages. The love and gratitude of the Hondurans has been a blessing to us.

Praise the Lord, Thanks to many willing workers & donations, God has enabled us to build and operate a school in Bonitillo.

We are proud of "Escuela Privada Neuvo Horizonte" which opened in February of 2007 . We started with 2 grades and have increased yearly to include kindergarten to Grade 6. We have a Honduran staff of 13 & approximately 225 students annually. This incredible Christian school is  helping to make a difference in the huge illiteracy problem in Honduras.

Our school is funded by our Canadian sponsorship program, which is $35.00 a month, this helps cover the costs of teachers and supply the children with uniforms, shoes, all their books and materials for the year.

We are excited to carry on the Lord's work and educate these precious children at the same time. This school has opened doors to us that we would have never dreamed about.

We continue to use our school bus to bring children from other villages and we also updated our playground with some new additions and paint. Many hours of fun for all. We have recently added a new

Kindergarten building seperate from the school, we have so much more room and

such a great addtion for the kids. God has certainly supplied our needs.

The Harvest
If you are thinking a year ahead, sow a seed. If you are thinking ten years ahead, plant a tree. If you are thinking one hundred years ahead, educate the people. By sowing once, you will harvest once. By planting a tree, you will harvest tenfold. By educating the people, you will harvest one hundred fold.
